Impossible Card - Pop 31
Among the finest copies in the market and the single highest-graded 1952 Topps #1 Pafko we've handled in many years. Incredibly elusive in high grade; often the victim of being the top card in collections, subjected to the elements, rubber bands, surface abrasions etc. But aside from the burden of being #1 for a collector, this card also posed significant challenges on the production floor with most receiving centering parameters unworthy technical grades higher than 'EX'. The offered copy boasts pack fresh surfaces, chipless edges, and four well formed corners. The print, color, and focus are all worthy of an even higher grade. A soft centering shift to the upper left is perhaps all that keeps this card a PSA 7. Far too rare to ever satisfy the demand of '52 Topps set collectors and an investment piece which seems poised to only continue to rise in value. One of over 20,000 cards, lots and sets up for bid in our 8th Auction of 2020. Click on the link above to view the other PWCC auction lots.
