Critically Important Pre-War Investment Piece
**Auction #3, Round 2** Such a great card, and impossibly rare in grades higher than VG. Offered here is a truly special example of the hands-down rarest key rookie card from all of the 1940s. The 1948 Leaf Satchel Paige is one of these hotly desired mainstream productions, yet also one of those cards you simply never can grasp on account of its inherent rarity and production limitations. Offered here is a truly special PSA 5 which maintains remarkable gloss and color that really pops. The fragile card stock is void of any typical creasing or wrinkles with excellent borders and smooth edges. All four corners are only moderately touched with a centering shift largely preventing a higher grade. Can you imagine if Paige was given the opportunity to pitch in the Major Leagues during his prime? A market cornerstone which is difficult to improve upon in many ways and comes highly recommended. One of over 15,000 cards, lots and sets up for bid in our 3rd Auction of 2020. Click on the link above to view the other PWCC auction lots.
