Critically Important Pre-War Investment Piece
Offered here is an ultra high-grade copy of an incredibly elusive parallel of one of the hobby's most beloved issues. Not the standard United States fare but the #80 card from the more scarce World Wide Gum series sold in Canada in 1933. This card mimics the '33 Goudey #144 card and enjoys an elevated rarity in NRMT condition. The offered specimen lies within a brand new SGC 7 holder, boasting undeniable NRMT presentation throughout. The surfaces maintain excellent preservation with bright color, beautiful print and almost zero toning present. The reverse has both French Canadian and English text present; a very cool and unique attribute. The bottom two corners are pin-point sharp and the fragile periphery is void of typical imperfections. A common centering shift as well as micro touches to the extreme top two corners is all that downgrade. For those who concentrate on pre-war investment pieces, this 'golden age' of gum issue would be a noteworthy addition to any high-end portfolio. Comes highly recommended by PWCC. Please see the video highlight for more details on this fine-art equivalent. One of over 15,000 cards, lots and sets up for bid in our 3rd Auction of 2020.
