Critically Important Michael Jordan Investment Piece
Stop the presses! Offered here is an all too rare BGS 9 MINT example of this iconic and notoriously condition sensitive Star Michael Jordan rookie card. Indeed, the '86 Fleer #57 card serves as Michael's most recognized rookie card however the '84-85 Star predates this issue and tracks back to the earliest days of 'His Airness' being on an NBA court. Note that there are no professional stats on the reverse of this card, only North Carolina Tar Heel tallies. The offered specimen lies within an incredibly rare Beckett 9 holder and easily ranks among the market's finest examples. We love the surfaces on this card with zero excess print present, eye-popping color and flawless registration. In many ways, the surfaces could have been awarded the '10' pristine sub-grade and nobody would question it. The fragile edges are completely free of chipping and the red borders really shine. Micro touches to the extreme upper right and lower left corners as well as a very modest centering shift keep from grading higher. Michael Jordan is widely considered the greatest basketball player of all-time and with his '86 Fleer production seeing growth, it's only a matter of time until this card's value skyrockets. Please see the video highlight for more details on this fine-art equivalent investment piece. One of over 14,000 cards, lots and sets up for bid in our 2nd Auction of 2020.
