Critically Important Vintage Basketball Investment
In the world of investment caliber vintage basketball rookie cards, they don't get much better than George Mikan's Bowman rookie card, especially in such jaw dropping condition. The card features the elite 'Big Man' in a tinted photograph set against a nice blue background. Mikan's card was printed within the high numbers (#s 37-72) which were in circulation for a shorter period of time and are scarcer than the low numbers, which makes acquiring an ultra high-grade example all the more challenging. This card is flat out never seen with such near perfect centering with only a modest left to right shift present. The corners and card stock are undeniable NM-MT. Furthermore, the edges are factory cut and wonderfully preserved. Everything is where it's supposed to be when upholding the lofty assessment. Mikan is known as the Father of the Big Men, renowned for his shot blocking, rebounding and determined drive through the lane. Being the most important card from Basketball's first great set, we feel this is a fine-art equivalent investment which is sure to bring a high ROI as the market matures.
