Critically Important Investment Piece
Any investor who pursues Gordie Howe's '51 Parkhurst rookie card is fully aware of its inherent production issues. Typically plagued by centering and print issues, this card is almost never seen within a NM-MT holder. What few examples do survive said condition issues still have to overcome surface issues, almost 70 years of age and third party grading services increasingly difficult standards. All told, NM-MT examples are simply never seen on the public market with maybe one or two being publicly offered per year. When one does finally surface it's aggressively targeted by hoards of intelligent investors. The offered Howe rookie possesses marvelous attributes throughout with a perfectly preserved periphery along with virtually MINT corners and card stock. The card boasts a strong overall cleanliness with vivid color, tremendous gloss and perfect registration. A modest left to right centering shift may be all that prevents an even higher grade. Gordie is one of the greatest hockey players of all-time and his brand is one without equal. High grade, premier vintage hockey rookie cards are still vastly under valued and seem poised to bring a strong return on investment over the coming years. Deserving of attention.
