Easily one of the most treasured pre-war rookie cards in existence and a must-own addition to any premier vintage hockey portfolio. Morenz is hockey royalty with the combination of his spectacular career and ultimately tragic death post in-game injury. This critically important V145-1 Paterson issue is almost never seen on the public market, especially in such high-grade. In fact, the offered PSA 4.5 has a population of just two with only eleven copies in the world grading higher. This spectacular example could be considered conservatively assessed by many vintage experts with many EX qualities apparent. Free of any creasing with clean, tone free surfaces present (rare). The card is almost dead centered with a beautiful periphery and outstanding print. Uniform corner wear and some micro wrinkles at the extreme upper right corner account for the assessment. All told, this example represents one of finest examples we've had the pleasure of brokering in our long tenure and is the finest example to be publicly offered in years. The last example we brokered of this card was a PSA 4 which sold about a year ago for over $14,000. We're proud to offer this infinitely better looking PSA 4.5 to the investment community free of any reserve. Enjoy! One of over 15,000 cards, lots, and sets up for bid in our 9th Auction of 2019.
